RENASCENCE: A SHORT FILM

Renascence is a science-fiction drama that centers around Clara, a 22-year-old headstrong woman, who uncovers a shocking truth about her terminally ill grandmother's routine hospital procedure. It turns out that the procedure involves sending her grandmother to another timeline, a parallel universe. However, Clara soon realizes that the procedure is irreversible, leaving her with the daunting task of convincing her grandmother to stay in the present timeline.

As the story unfolds, viewers are taken on a journey that explores the complex themes of familial love, rebirth, and the afterlife. Renascence draws inspiration from popular TV shows such as Black Mirror's San Junipero, and Disney's Soul, but offers a unique and compelling take on these ideas.

At the 46th annual TARA Awards at Toronto Metropolitan University, Renascence received the awards for Best Cinematography and Best Project Pitch. Additionally, the film was nominated for Best Senior Film.
