UNITY: IN SUPPORT OF BLM

In July 2020, I set out to use my artistic skills to raise awareness for the Black Lives Matter movement and extend my support to the Black community. After extensive research and brainstorming, I came up with an idea to design shirts and tote bags with four unique patches that conveyed important messages related to the cause. The patches featured phrases like "No justice, No peace," "Black Lives Matter" with a fist, "Give a damn," and "Together we can."

To turn my idea into a reality, I created a handmade collection called "Unity" that included the shirts, tote bags, and pins. I sold these items and donated the proceeds to four different organizations that were working towards the advancement of the Black community, namely the Black Legal Action Centre, Black Lives Matter (Canada), Black Women in Motion, and BlackNorth Initiative.

I'm proud to say that I sold out of the entire collection and was able to donate over $700 to these organizations.
